Unlike traditional grill grates, the plancha preserves the juices and flavors. Live wood fire seasons the meat naturally, creating a unique and exceptional taste. Precision Cutting and Surface Quality. Precision laser cutting and food-grade surface. Arteflame's steel undergoes precise laser cutting using expensive machines. The cut steel is wiped clean and oiled, resulting in a smooth, food-grade surface. This process prevents food particles from getting lodged or hiding, ensuring a top-quality, safe cooking surface.

Carbon Steel vs. Cast Iron. Carbon Steel and Cast Iron are both suitable for cooking and grilling. Carbon Steel contains approximately 1% Carbon, while Cast Iron contains 2%-3% Carbon. The carbon content affects the grain structure of the metal. Cast Iron is prone to cracking and brittleness when heated unevenly, making it unsuitable for grill inserts. Arteflame cooktops, inserts, griddles, and Burger Pucks are exclusively made of Carbon Steel.

Note: When your grill arrives, the cooktop will be silver (unseasoned). It will develop the dark color shown in the images once it has been seasoned and used several times.
